How to Apply

One must meet all the eligibility to receive financial assistance (the exception of #5 as it applies):

• Must be a resident of Charles, Calvert, or St. Mary's County
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
• REFERRAL ONLY (Therapist, Domestic Violence Coordinator, Social Worker, etc.)
• Abstinent from drugs and/or alcohol for at least three (3) months (if applicable)
• Out of an abusive relationship for no more than three (3) years.
• Have not received services from this organization within the last six (6) months

• One must be referred via email or phone (Referral form given upon request by provider) 
• An Intake form will be completed and an interview will be scheduled.
• During the interview, a case summary will be completed along with the required documentation.
• Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed.
• A decision of approval and amount of assistance will be made no later than five (5) days (differing for emergency cases).
• All financial assistance payments are paid directly to the provider, not the recipient.
